The Story behind the title…

One of the valuable things creativity has taught me (Creativity is the most wonderful Teacher I have ever known) is regarding the purpose of beauty.

The testing of it for authenticity and soundness. Is it agelessly, deeply beautiful?
Does the beauty inspire kindness, truth, inclusion, connection, generosity, abundance, diligence and contented rest?

If it does not inspire these things then it is not true beauty. It’s counterfeit beauty. All promise and no punch and I think we have enough of that in the world already.

... I think of flowers. Their beauty and fragrance is not an end to itself.. it’s a beginning, charged with purpose and the promise of fruit. I want this for my art.

I want to paint that which inspires more beauty, inclusion, collaboration, harmony, faith and hope.

Beauty that meets us where we are but at the same time draws us lovingly forward.
